Lost: still eh

Did you watch it last night? Slightly better. Still frustrating as hell. Locke? Are you that stupid? Rousseau? Have you really been living on this island? B/c you don't seem to know jack. Miss Klugh or Cleo or whatever her name is, don't you know that black people don't survive on this island? Why invite your own death? So Harold Perrineau and Walt sail away, Mr. Eko gets killed by smoke, Rose (and Bernard) have apparently be recast as Nikki and Paulo, and now she gets 1 minute of screen time, most of which is her getting killed.

And the ping pong subplot? Remember the subplot last year about looking for the frog? This is shamefully bad writing.

But Sayid is cool. A little too virtuous, especially for a guy who used to torture people.

slightly better, but still something i'm annoyed to be watching. anything or anyone that might have some answers, blows up or dies. and yeah, if you're black, your time is limited. rose, if you ever get found, watch out.

see, this is my problem... (uh oh, rant coming). why introduce miss klugh for one or two episodes if you're going to ignore her for 9 episode and then kill her? what was the point of miss klugh coming into the picture in the first place? why couldn't they have someone who is ALREADY an other who we ALREADY knew, like tom, or something, be the one there? next thing we know, the sheriff from the others is going to show up again for two seconds next season in order to get shot after yelling something very few people can understand in mandarin.

oh, man. don't get me started, for REAL.

Only a few million people speak mandarin. Maybe a billion. Not that many...

And yeah, I fully support the killing off of characters b/c, let's face it, this island must be as big as Nebraska and still they need to thin things out. But did Miss Klugh get introduced as a potential red shirt? No! She was introduced like a key figure, a Ricardo Montalban figure who makes a guest spot on an episode and then has an entire sequel dedicated to her wrath. Lost 2: The Wrath of Klugh.

Sorry for the Star Trek reference. I don't even particularly like Star Trek. Though I liked ST2. And I heard JJ Abrams, rather than steer Lost out of the wreckage, is making a ST prequel, and Matt Damon is rumored to be Kirk, which I think is cool.

I liked Galaxy Quest.
